Papiermanufaktur- und Museum Wolfswinkel-Spechthausen (i.Gr.)
In the North of the Region Brandenburg, especially in
Eberswalde-Finow, there is a "museum in founding". The old
Papiermanufaktur Spechthausen was moved to Eberswalde in the 50s and
rebuilt into the VEB Wolfswinkelpapierwerk (an old papermill and
-factory). Around 10-20 Persons used to manufacture good quality
writing papers. In the 1990s the factory closed and the
owner, Mr. Schallenberg, only continues the manufacture. The workers had to
go, but the inventory is still intact and should reactivated. Mr. Schallenberg
and his partner Mrs. Gripekoven want to found a museum with a
manufacturing part. There is capacity for around 5-10 persons
per workshop. (Thanks to Roman Luplow for this information)

Regionalmuseum des Amtes Malliss Regional museum of Neu Kaliss
Neu Kaliss is located near Doemitz near the Elde-River. The regional museum
has an interesting paper-historical section. It is oriented on the history of the local
papermill (today Neu Kaliss Spezialpapier-GmbH, part of the MELITTA group, before VEB
Feinpapier Neu Kaliss, before Felix Schoeller & Bausch Feinpapierfabriken).
The exhibition was build from rests of acts and probes of the older fabriques and some personal
collected things of their workers. The museum is managed by an old ex-teacher, but is has an
excellent quality in the paper-historical substructure! The buildings of the mill are a legally
protected monument but without any mindful use. The machines are broken down and not given
into the museum. (Thanks to Roman Luplow for this information)
